La Piedra de la Rosa – Nature’s Stone Flower

,

Driving between La Orotava and the Teide National Park, you’ll come across La Piedra de la Rosa, a striking rock formation shaped like a giant stone flower. Formed by cooling lava flows splitting into petal-like sections, it’s one of those roadside sights that makes you want to pull over for a closer look.

There’s a small parking area nearby, and you only need 5–10 minutes to admire it, take photos, and appreciate the natural artistry created over thousands of years. Surrounded by rugged volcanic scenery, it’s a quick but memorable stop on your Teide journey.

A little geological gem, blooming forever in stone.
